Are you clear on why are you renovating? What your end goal is? What your budget is AND how long you have to achieve your renovation?
Whether you are renovating to invest, improve, sell, learn to DIY (Do It Yourself), your first “need to know” is that renovating is a strategic process that requires extensive planning prior to starting the renovation works.
Before you start your renovation, you need to know how long it will take, how skilled your trades are, how they operate, how much things will cost – even the little things and how much you have to spend. You need to know lead times for products and the correct order in which works should be done. There is plenty more that needs to be decided upon and planned prior to starting any renovation even if you intend to do the works yourself.
Our primary focus of this kick-off meeting is to gather as much information about you, your goals, and your property, so we can provide the right renovation knowledge for your needs. The more you can tell us, the more we can answer. This service is independent of our Project Managing Service and is designed to help you “get it right” from the start saving you headaches that often cost money in renovating.
How does the Initial Consultation work?
Perth Renovation Projex owner Shannon Burke conducts an initial design consultation on site. You’ll need to set aside 1-2 hours. We’ll walk you through how to develop your “wish list’’, discuss your options, how to choose the right products (and why this is important), colour schemes, suggested works based on your budget, and identify the best approach for the renovation. Whatever your reason for renovating – or whoever is doing it – this initial planning phase is vital.
Before starting any renovation – you must develop a plan and set a firm budget.
